Welcome to CompareYourCareTM—the state-of-the-art, interactive Web-based tool that helps you understand what quality health care is and how to get it. Now you can:
- Compare & Rate the quality of healthcare you are receiving with national treatment guidelines
- Improve Self-Care by getting up-to-date information and skills to better manage an illness or stay healthy
With CompareYourCare, you select the CompareYourCare tool of greatest personal interest (e.g., asthma, diabetes, adult general health). CompareYourCare then asks you a series of questions about your overall health care experience and then provides:
- Personalized feedback, including a standardized numeric score, showing how the care from your doctor compares to national treatment guidelines
- A score showing how your care compares to the care others like yourself receive
- Specific information on areas where care from your doctor is unusually good or poor
- Tips on how to improve your self-care and receive better care
CompareYourCare was developed by FACCT (Foundation for Accountability) and is owned by HealthGrades. Working with leading scientific experts, FACCT designed tools that reflect the best science and the findings from over 85 focus groups on what consumers want to know about the quality of their health care. So far, twenty-two CompareYourCare tools have been developed—sixteen are available on the Web, including three that are available in both English and Spanish.
